Date Range Selection
SegmentIQ lets you filter all dashboard metrics by time period.
Available Ranges
| Range | Description |
|---|---|
| 7 days | Last 7 days — good for spotting recent changes |
| 14 days | Last 2 weeks — balances recency with sample size |
| 30 days | Last 30 days — the default, a solid all-round view |
| 90 days | Last quarter — best for identifying trends |
| Custom | Pick any start and end date |
How It Works
When you change the date range, all metrics on the dashboard recalculate for the selected period. This includes:
- All segment metrics (revenue, orders, AOV, etc.)
- Insight badges (thresholds are applied to the new period's data)
- The revenue concentration chart
- Segment detail modal data
Comparison Periods
SegmentIQ compares the selected period against the immediately preceding period of equal length. For example:
- If you select 30 days (March 1–30), the comparison period is February 1–28
- If you select 7 days, the comparison is the 7 days before that
This lets you see whether metrics are trending up or down.
Tips
- Start with 30 days for a balanced view
- Use 7 days after launching a new campaign to see immediate impact
- Use 90 days for strategic planning and identifying long-term patterns
- Custom ranges are useful for analysing specific promotional periods (e.g. Black Friday week)
