SegmentIQ is built by Marvel Labs. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights.
Data We Collect
SegmentIQ accesses the following data from your Shopify store via read-only API permissions:

Data We Do NOT Collect
- No personal customer information — we do not store names, emails, addresses, or phone numbers
- No payment information — we never access credit card or payment details
- No browsing data — we do not track your customers' browsing behaviour
- No marketing data — we do not access or use marketing consent information
How We Use Data
Data is used exclusively to compute discount performance metrics and generate insights within the SegmentIQ dashboard. We do not:
- Sell your data to third parties
- Use your data for advertising
- Share your data with other merchants
- Use your data to train AI/ML models
Data Storage
- Data is stored in a secure PostgreSQL database hosted on Railway
- All connections use TLS encryption
- Authentication tokens are encrypted at rest
- Access is restricted to essential service operations only
Data Retention
- Your data is retained as long as the app is installed
- Upon uninstallation, all data is deleted within 48 hours
- You can request immediate deletion at any time by emailing us
GDPR Compliance
SegmentIQ supports all required GDPR webhooks:
- Customer data request — we respond to data access requests within 30 days
- Customer data erasure — we delete customer-related data upon request
- Shop data erasure — all data is deleted when the app is uninstalled
Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Access your data — email us and we'll provide a full export
- Delete your data — uninstall the app or email us for immediate deletion
- Correct your data — data is synced from Shopify; corrections in your store are reflected automatically
