Installing SegmentIQ
From the Shopify App Store
- Visit the SegmentIQ listing on the Shopify App Store
- Click Add app
- Review the permissions and click Install app
Permissions
SegmentIQ requests read-only access to the following data:
| Permission | What it's used for |
|---|---|
| Read customers | Identify customer segments and segment membership |
| Read orders | Calculate revenue, AOV, and discount usage per segment |
| Read discounts | Detect which discount codes and automatic discounts exist |
| Read products | Enrich order data with product details |
SegmentIQ never requests write access to your store. It cannot create, modify, or delete any data.
Requirements
- A Shopify store on any plan
- At least one customer segment defined in your store
- Some order history (the more orders, the better the insights)
After Installation
Once installed, SegmentIQ will redirect you to the onboarding screen where your initial data sync begins automatically.
