SegmentIQ is a read-only Shopify app that shows where your discount spend goes, by discount code and by customer segment.

For each code it estimates how much of the discount went to customers who had recently paid full price, and how much reached first-time buyers. It reads discounts from your orders, so it works with any discount source: native Shopify discount codes, automatic discounts, Discount Ninja, Regios, Promi and others.

What SegmentIQ does​

  • Gives a verdict on your biggest discount code — how much of its discount spend went to customers who had paid full price in the previous 90 days (free)
  • Breaks down every code and segment — discount spend, the share to recent full-price buyers and first-time buyers, over 180 days (Pro)
  • Flags what to look at — codes that mostly reached full-price buyers, possible leaks, and segments that keep waiting for a discount
  • Compares a sale with the weeks before it — so you can see what a promotion changed (Pro)
  • Answers in Shopify Sidekick — ask "Was LOYAL20 worth it?" and get your store's numbers (Pro)

All figures are estimates from order history. They show who received a discount, not what the discount caused.

What SegmentIQ does not do​

SegmentIQ is intentionally read-only. It never creates, changes, or deletes anything in your store. Suggestions come with prompts you can paste into Shopify Sidekick, so you stay in control of every change.
