Is SegmentIQ read-only?​

Yes. SegmentIQ only reads data from your store. It never creates, modifies, or deletes any orders, customers, discounts, products, or any other data. The app requests only read permissions.

Which discount apps does it work with?​

SegmentIQ works with any discount source — it reads discount information from your orders, not from the discount app itself. This means it works with:

  • Native Shopify discount codes
  • Automatic discounts
  • Discount Ninja
  • Regios
  • Promi
  • Any other app that applies discounts to orders

How often is data updated?​

SegmentIQ syncs your data once per day automatically. You can also trigger a manual re-sync from the Settings page at any time.

How far back does historical data go?​

SegmentIQ imports your full order history during the initial sync. You can then filter the dashboard to view any time period within that history.

What happens when I uninstall?​

When you uninstall SegmentIQ:

  1. All your data is deleted from our servers within 48 hours
  2. Your Shopify store is completely unaffected (since we never write to it)
  3. If you reinstall later, a fresh sync will import your data again

Can I export my data?​

Data export is coming with the Measure plan (£19/month). In the meantime, all metrics are visible on the dashboard.

What Shopify plans are supported?​

SegmentIQ works with all Shopify plans — Basic, Shopify, Advanced, and Plus.

How are customer segments defined?​

SegmentIQ uses the customer segments you've already created in your Shopify admin (Customers → Segments). It doesn't create its own segments — it measures the performance of yours.

Is my data secure?​

Yes. SegmentIQ:

  • Uses encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS) for all data transfer
  • Encrypts authentication tokens at rest
  • Stores data in a secure, isolated database
  • Never shares your data with third parties
  • Complies with GDPR and Shopify's data protection requirements
