Installing SegmentIQ
From the Shopify App Store
- Visit the SegmentIQ listing on the Shopify App Store
- Click Install
- Review the permissions and approve
Permissions
SegmentIQ requests read-only access to:
| Permission | What it's used for |
|---|---|
| Read orders and read all orders | Discount amounts and codes on orders, including orders older than 60 days |
| Read customers | Customer segment membership, using Shopify customer IDs |
| Read discounts | Discount names and types |
| Read products | Basic product information for context |
SegmentIQ never requests write access to your store. It cannot create, change, or delete any data.
Requirements
- A Shopify store on any plan
- Some order history with discounts (a code needs at least 10 redemptions in the last 90 days for the free verdict)
- Customer segments in your admin, if you want the segment breakdown
After installation
SegmentIQ starts importing your data straight away. See Onboarding for what happens during the first sync.
